Halcyon Meadows

Halcyon Meadows is an adult oriented gated community of 224 single family detached homes in the Sardis area of Chilliwack BC overlooking Mt. Cheam. Nestled in the center of the wide, fertile Fraser Valley, Chilliwack is surrounded by mountains, farmland, crystal-clear rivers and lakes. Chilliwack is just far enough from the busy urban landscape to feel like you’ve stepped back in time to a friendlier more relaxed way of life.

The Halcyon Meadows website has been developed for the use and enjoyment of all residents and to keep us up to date with current news, announcements, and other useful information.  The site is password protected and you must logon to view category pages.

If you have a suggestion or comment to help make this site more useful, please pass your thoughts on to our Directors. Either send an email to the directors or put your suggestion letter into the HMHC box in the mailroom.

Is your group or club sponsoring an event? Please email the webmaster. We would like to post it on the website in additional to having a notice in the mailroom.

It’s our goal to provide up-to-date information on what’s happening around the complex. Check often to keep informed while at home and on vacation.

Remember the SPEED LIMIT within our complex is 20 Km/hr.

Three of our volunteer directors, Tom, Patricia, and Paul, have resigned as a result of the actions from some shareholders over the installation of speed bumps. We have also been informed Rob, our volunteer webmaster, has also quit and effective May 31st will no long maintain the HMHC www.halcyonmeadows.info website or send out HMHC “Community Notices”.

Greg Flack provided the HMHC Board members with a sample copy of a Depreciation Report format provided by Levelton Engineering. The example shown was prepared for a Strata but a report for Halcyon, if prepared, would be similar.

The purpose of a Depreciation report is to help the Homeowners Corporation incorporate a proper maintenance schedule and to help budget for the costs of implementing a proper maintenance schedule.

We have been informed that this year’s annual Halcyon Meadows golf tournament will be cancelled unless someone steps up and volunteers to organize the event. Leroy Frisk is unable to do it this year but he has all the information. If anyone is interested in taking on this task please contact Leroy (unit 185) at 846- 8841 or by email to leroyfrisk@yahoo.com

Are any singles in Halcyon Meadows interested in a get together to meet for different events, outings of any kind, lunches, dinners or just plain getting together?
